What 'other sources'?

There's a computer and some RF gear in the microwave. It isn't all
shielded.

RF gear in a microwave?

My understanding is that it's a cavity magnetron running on feedback and a
timer.

The "timer" is a microprocessor.

Rerun of "Is a microprocessor a computer?" discussion from 2 or3 years
ago,
anybody?

Many years ago I used to design the things.

If you're getting significant interference form a micro based timer then
it's time to consider some serious shielding equipment for the rest of your
gear because the usual 25uV sensitivity transistor radio won't hear anything
if it's over a couple of feet away.

I run a 6uV tuner with a crappy dipole aerial pinned to the wall about a
foot away from this computer and I never get any RF interference.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Barbeques on fire by the chalets past the castle headland
I watched the gift shops glitter in the darkness off the Newborough gate
All these moments will be lost in time, like icecream on the beach
Time for tea.
