No, not in my case. But I do think of humans as mammals, and that pigs
and cows are much closer relatives to us than fish.

I prefer vegetarian food when available, but it makes life easier for
the cooks who must cook for me if I accept eating fish.

There are many good reasons for avoiding meat. Environmental, health,
and global economy. A cow or a pig shits out 90% of the proteins it is
fed. Only 10% becomes the meat that humans would then eat. Considering
that even today many people in the world are underfed I think it is
unfair to gobble up so much more than we actually need.

Some years ago there was a lasting famine in Somalia. 20% of all
children under the age of five suffered permanent brain damage due to
shortage of protein in their first years, when the brain is developed.
They did not die. They will grow up and have children of their own,
which they will not be capable of caring for properly. So it will go
on for generations, dragging the population down, maybe for a thousand
years.

In that same period large foreign fishing boats caught a lot fish off
the Somalian coast. The fish became fish meal that was fed to foreign
cows and pigs, who shit out 90% .....

It will soon be 25 years since I last had meat. At first I suppose I
missed it, but now I think it looks disgusting in the shops and I
sometimes have a feeling I can see the "piggy" character that some pig
eating people develop.
