Re: Crater in Bodensee/Lake Constance?

Interesting, the more I look at it, the more I notice. The direction of
the shadows appear to be in the opposite direction of the mainland,
which would indicate that it is in fact, a drop of water or some other
defect, or taken at another time (which is not uncommon in these sort
of aerial photos -for example, there is an aerial from Google of the
Boston area which shows a plane on final approach to Logan about to
land on a runway on which planes are taking off -in the direction of
the landing plane; again, the shadows on some areas that one are
opposite than other areas as well.).

The light patterns around it suggest that it might be due to a drop of
water on a camera llens. (Note the light area on one side and the dark
area on the other and lack of a clear image.)
