I wouldn't say take advantage, it's more about being polite and
accepting what is offered.

Except it can never end!

I normally fall off my perch if given enough alcohol.

That's when you shoud dance instead.

I can remember one night when I felt I did the best dancing I have ever
done, after imbibing a few beers with some Greek food at the Athens Bar &
Grill in Houston, Texas. We had gone there with a work friend who had
emigrated from Greece, and wanted to show us the place. All of the Greek
fellows off the ships on the Houston Ship Channel were there, and they were
all dancing up a storm, either singly or in groups. There was a balalaika
player and some belly dancing girls for some other entertainment. Our
friend, Chris, wanted to dance so bad, but his wife wouldn't, so he kept
begging me to dance with him. I told him I knew nothing about Greek
dancing, and to just forget it. But, he kept after me, finally saying,
"All you have to do is go out with me and hold the end of my handkerchief.
Don't let go. I will do all the dancing." So, being under the influence, I
did. I am 6ft2in, Chris is 5ft4in. The balalaika player played, Chris
danced, even doing flips in the air, and I moved around carefully, with a
death grip on the handkerchief. When we finished, there was a standing
ovation for us (well OUR table guests stood up)!

So maybe Dave is right.
