Speaking of Churchill, what are the things this NG would recommend
for good WWII things to see in London?

there's the Imperial War Museum in Lambeth (south of the river)
and the RAF Museum at Hendon has many planes from the time
including a Lancaster bomber. There is also a walk through
reconstruction of the blitz there. (out in north London)
