1. UK visa valid for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
(Republic of Ireland needs a separate visa).
2. Try findmeabnb.co.uk or www.accor-hotels.com in that order. It
really depends on what kind of accommodation that you want.
3. For London to Paris, you can beat BMIbaby.com, which departs from
Heathrow Terminal 1 and arrives at CDG. Both airports are accessible on
the Tube (Picadilly Line) and RER B-line, respectively. The one-way
fare is cheap.
Try to fly in to London, and fly back to the US from Paris. AA does
this efficiently.
