Most of my trips are short, between three and seven days' duration, so
I don't have strong feelings of missing things at home.
In the early days of my travelling, I was often struck on my return by
how green Ireland really is. I'm more used to the phenomenon now.
When I'm away, I avoid the online world as much as possible, and it's
generally possible for me to avoid it totally. When I get home, I
usually make a pot of coffee, power up the computer, and start
catching up. It's not really a case of missing it when I am away, or
even thinking about it -- but it's fun to be back in forums like
r.t.e.
