I agree there is a lot of mumbo jumbo camerata oblongotto about P.T.
....<g>
I use the lowest ISO possible considering what shutter speed and depth
of field I need for a shot probably like you in most situations;
'Noise' kept to the minimum. Sometimes grainy can be artistic, but you
know that. F10 uses the same photosensor as under their DSLR line; a
top quality modern design. Optics are not the same quality; but that
does not imply the p&s optics are utter junk either. Optics are not as
versatile as DSLR; but that does not imply they have no
versatility......
Picture quality and versatility of use *RIVAL* much more expensive
DSLR's in a lighter easier to use package with a nice 2.5 screen I can
see without glasses. Included was everything I needed to take pictures
with no extra lenses to buy and carry. Camera which fits in a shirt
pocket weighs in at just over 200gr in hand with possibly another 200gr
in cables, charger, extra battery and Dx chip (2-512mbXd) in light case.
500 shots per battery; realistically half of that with some flash and
monitor gawking. Potential storage for over1300 3mp shots with one
recharge to shoot them; or as you likely prefer about 638 3:2 3024x2016
in a rig that weighs in at about 400gr total on the road. Realistically
a quarter the cost of a basic DSLR setup, averaging $300 in the US.
Picture quality at least 90% of what a DSLR would do in a comparable
setting.
Get the idea yet?
