Given what you want to see, i would recommend trying it by public
transportation (Keukenhof is amazing, there was an orchid exhibit there
while we were visiting which was almost mosre amazing than the bulb show
in the main gardens)
You might want to rent a car for one day if there is somewhere that you
really need to see that is otherwise difficult (shooting photos in the
countryside fir instance) but I would play it by ear.
