Seems a little derivative of "Short Circuit", starring Allie Sheidie. Even the robot looks derivative of the one in "Short Circus".

About the only thing the same is that there is a robot in the story.

You just like to kibbutz don't you? And talk off the top of your head?

WALLE-E is a masterpiece in my opinion. But of course that is only my
opinion. But at least I have seen the movie. I am not bullshitting
people.....

And as I mentioned, trying not to spoil it, there is a cruise angle to
the movie.

Last time I looked, there weren't any lips on the top of my head... In it's day the stuff that Ray Harryhousen did was a masterpiece. He did it all with claymation. I also think that some of the pre-CGI Disney Stuff is masterpiece work. I mean hand painting all those cells and then photographing them frame by frame in optical glass layers to create dimensionality... Sorry folks for going so OT. When I worked on my Masters in Media Arts, I did a minor study in animation. I tend to get very chatty about animation. If anybody wants to lets continue this discussion B/C.
