As it happens, there's a one night NCL cruise from Seattle to
Vancouver two days before a conference in Seattle I might attend; I
could go up a few days early, cruise to Vancouver, take the train back
down, and be ready for my conference the next day.

What do y'all think of one night cruises? Get onboard early one
afternoon and back off the next morning - is that enough to get any
kind of feel for the ship?

One more cruise credit on NCL isn't enough to move me up to the next
level in the Latitudes guest program, but on the other hand the cruise
isn't very expensive, and I could try a different room type.

Sounds like a good opportunity to "experiment". If you've never had an
inside cabin before... give it a shot, and with the money you save, go to
the specialty restaurant on board... try a different martini than you've
ever had... something like that.
