Thank you for your clarification. You've given me thought that may help my 90 yr old mom. She has osteoporosis of the spine. She is allergic to just about every pain and antibiotic medication on the market. Maybe this can help her.

What does this implant do? Could acupuncture and yoga substitute? Or, have you tried those?
It's a lot like a TENS unit. If you're not familiar with those, here's the basic idea of them (and my implant)
It uses electric pulses to sort of fool your brain into limiting chronic pain. It helps create endorphins which help, too.
Unfortunately, after they removed the staples, the lead wire incision site swelled a bit. Since then, I think the wires have shifted (the wires are in my upper back, the machine itself is in my waistline) So now when I turn it on I only really feel it in my upper stomach and ribs. It's doing nothing for nerve pain or back issues. In fact, using it now I get sick at my stomach. Imagine doing sit-ups and really flexing your upper abs. Now imagine having that hard flex constant. It'd make you vomit, too. Before the staples were removed, and for the trial I did previously, the machine worked great.
I'll know in a few hours what the verdict is I hope. I really hate taking any kind of medication, so this is really my last option.
LES!
