I've booked an April cruise on Carnival Fascination. Since then I read that Carnival allows smoking in cabins. My wife is alergic, even if people before us smoked in same room. Is this true that Carnival allows smoking in cabins, and can you get smoke free cabins. Right now I'm booked on unassigned cabin with window. It's guaranteed to have a window but I don't know where it will be.
Thanks in advance,

From Health101"
"A lot of people claim to be allergic to tobacco smoke, but the large molecules necessary for an allergic reaction can’t survive the burning heat of a cigarette".
"There are cases of true tobacco allergy, but they always involve physical contact with the raw leaf. Cigarette smoke can make you cough, sneeze and wheeze, but it’s not an allergy and allergy treatments won’t prevent it or clear it up".
Now, that said ... if your wife can't stand smoke in any form, drop the cruise. There are so many rabid anti smokers in the world that, through their zeal to stamp out smoking, have created monsters of many of the smoking crowd. Your wife will make herself (or you for that matter) miserable being around even one. And there is always at least one on every ship!
