Oh global warming is real .... its getting warmer, and has
been since of the end of the "little ice age" in the middle
ages.

The question which is NOT settled is "why". We do know, for
absolute certain, the human industrial use of fossil fuels
did not cause warm periods in the past. We know that the
little ice age was not caused by cessation of human fossil fuel use.

There is no actual evidence that fossil fuel use has caused
a speedup in warming. It's all simulations, poor ones. I've
been on Ph.D. finals committees for climate simulators (albeit not
global warming ones) and they are pitiful. The problem with debunking
global warming by fossil fuel use is that the basic idea of CO2
greenhouse gas causing global warming is almost certainly correct
to some degree, from general principles. But the details matter and
matter almost everything.

The funny thing is that we don't need to make drastic changes in the way
we
live to have an effect.

Ah, but that isn't known either. The simulations are incapable of
accurately predicting. What is likely true is that if a large effect
really might happen, a large drop in consumption would be needed to
stop it. Large as in a drop in fossil fuel use of say 50 to 95%
worldwide. This means either the end of civilization or a BIG
BIG increase in nuclear waste. There' no other real choice. Anybody
talking "conservation" or "biofuels" or "solar power" is
deluded.

And the Sun is getting hotter and the temperature on Mars is increasing. It
is unlikely that either is caused by man in Earth. So, is the universe
warming up? Is the Sun the cause of it all?
