About 4 years ago, I figured it up for our room stewart and assistant
based on an average of just two people per stateroom giving the minimum
(which I rather arbitrarily decided was good because some stiff and some
have more than 2 and it balanced out). Per contract they earned more
than the per capita ANNUAL income of their home country.
But that is slowly changing around as they add or major refits on theIt's things like dumping trash and garbage at sea, building piers on
top of reefs and things like that that make me feel uncomfortable.
That makes me uncomfortable too, as does the fuel consumption.
fleet. Takes awhile like with cars. Also, one of the lines has made
arrangements to tie into dock based electrical lines so they can cut
down the use of fuel and the smoke.
