Will I need a special converter adaptor thingy to plug
the charger in on the ship (Princess) I assume I would need one for the
hotels in Italy.
Read the fine print on the side of your charger...modern chargers can often
be used anywhere. If so, it should read something like 100~250vac. This is
also true of AC adapters for laptops.
Having said that, the actual plug could be a problem in Italy. Europe has a
plethora of shapes for their outlets depending on which country you are in.
Radio shack has a kit of adapters for +/- $20.
You can research (google) the type/shape of receptacles you would likely
find in Italy.
