MSC ORCHESTRA: LINE’S NEWEST JEWEL DEBUTS MAY 14
FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (MARCH 6, 2007) – MSC Orchestra, another jewel in MSC Cruises’ rapidly expanding modern fleet, will soon cruise the seas, featuring the elegance of the Italian-styled cruise company.
MSC Orchestra will be christened in the port of Civitavecchia on May 14. Second of the line’s ‘Musica’ class, this new addition to the fleet replicates the high standards of construction evident in other MSC Cruises’ ships and sets the benchmark for the larger ships in the fleet.
Following her inaugural May 16 sailing, MSC Orchestra will embark on a mini-cruise to Venice, where she will be positioned all summer season. She will depart Venice on roundtrip 7-night itineraries every Saturday from June 2 till Oct. 27. The ship will call at Bari, Katakolon (where passengers can visit the archaeological site of Olympia or relax on the beautiful beaches), Izmir, Istanbul, Dubrovnik in Croatia (where guests can enjoy a walk on the famous ‘stradun’) and back to Venice.
Cruise only rates start at $995 interior, $1,195 ocean view and $1,295 balcony, per person, double occupancy. Government fees and taxes are additional.
In winter 2007-2008, MSC Orchestra will be positioned in the Mediterranean, joining sister ship MSC Musica. The new flagship will depart Nov. 3 for 11- and 12-day cruises, departing Venice and calling at Dubrovnik, Athens, Rhodes, Iraklion, Tunis, Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona and Marseille before arriving in Genoa on Nov. 14 to begin its winter itineraries.
Cruise only rates start at $999 interior, $1,295 oceanview and $1,499 balcony, per person, double occupancy. Government fees and taxes are additional.
When making reservations, be sure to ask about the special “kids sail free” offer.
