My sister and I are thinking about an Alaskan cruise next summer. Neither

us has cruised before. We're 55 and 60 and therefore not looking for
"party"
ships. I'm looking for opinions about the various cruise lines/ships and
itineraries. We're flexible as far as time, duration of cruise and whether
it's one way or round trip.

Unless you combine your cruise with a land tour, you won't see much of
Alaska. We combined our cruise with a ten day tour to Denali, Fairbanks,
Kenai Peninsula and Anchorage. We rented a small RV and did the driving.
Alaska is a wonderful place but you need to see more than you can on a
cruise.
