To Whom It May Concern:
We came across this information in the trades, in the form of a press
release, and thought it would be of interest to this newsgroup as well.
Norwegian Coastal Voyage is waiving the single supplement on nine departures
of air-inclusive Antarctica Expedition Voyages from Oct. 16 to Jan. 31. The
move reduces fares to normal double-occupancy rates and saves solo travelers
$1,115 to $1,580. The waiver can be combined with an AARP member savings of
$150 per cabin on all departures and a $300 early-booking discount on five
October-December sailings for new bookings made by July 31.
With the additional discounts, solo travelers can save up to $1,965, or 22
percent off normal single rates. Five sailings of the 21-day "Antarctica,
South Georgia and the Falkland Islands" and 19-day "Antarctica and the
Chilean Fjords," expeditions are reduced to $5,030 to $6,945 from the normal
prices of $6,595 to $8,910. Eligible departures are Oct. 16, Nov. 1, Nov.
29, Dec. 6 and Dec. 13. Four other 19-day departures -- Dec. 27, Jan. 3,
Jan. 24 and Jan. 31 -- are now priced from $5,845 to $7,375 from the
original $7,200 to $9,105.
The promotional offer applies to inside and outside cabins and includes
roundtrip flights between New York, Buenos Aires and Santiago; five-star
hotels and breakfast; Buenos Aires-Ushuaia and Santiago-Punta Arenas
flights; all meals aboard the ship; naturalist guides; all Antarctica
landings; gratuities; port charges; air taxes; and transfers. For more
information, call 800-323-7436 or visit www.norwegiancoastalvoyage.us.
Happy sailing,
John Sisker
