Interesting that the tech address says Sunnyvale, but the phone number
is a San Diego phone number. I did a double take at the phone number, it
is so close to the phone number at the hotel my DH is staying at in San
Diego.

The TA uses Yahoo web hosting for her/their website. It is possible that
Yahoo have their tech call center in S. Calif and not in their
headquarter (Sunnyvale, CA)

This is correct. They have a large hosting center in San Diego.
