You can't go deaf by shouting into a phone. Shouting into a phone doesn't
improve the sound quality or increase the volume at the receiving end enough
to matter. People shout because they don't know any better and because
it comes naturally when conversing and not being able to be heard.
Cell phones can be heard to hear due to their mediocre frequency responce,
mediocre dynamic range, and the tiny speaker.
