The Other Italian Cruise Line - Costa Magica 3/19

Hello all....have truly enjoyed reading everyone's comments about the GGC and the MOAGCs!!! Becca...welcome back to Celebrity lol! I had actually talked to Lori last week and it sounded like a success. And very interesting to hear everyone's impressions of MSC. Sounded like my impression by and large. The staff is amazing I would say. Never danced so much in the disco ever. Campari and soda....a MUST!

So what's next on my cruise itinerary.....the OTHER Italian cruise line -- COSTA! I thought I would go where no RTCer has gone before, lol. What the heck, why not. So I'll be sailing on 3/19 on the Costa Magica, which is pretty much a mega-ship from what I'm reading, just over 100K tons. A little wary about that I must admit, and it'll be in the height of spring break season, so we did the sensible thing and booked a balcony! So that can be my private little getaway if need be.

I figured what the heck, why not give Costa a whirl, I can try out a "Carnivalesque" ship without actually having to sail Carnival, and I have been reading online that March is a fairly heavy period for Italians to sail in the Caribbean on Costa, so I actually think that would be interesting to me.

We'll see how it stacks up against my recent MSC experience, although it's almost twice as big a ship and I did love the smaller size of the Lirica quite much.

So that's my next adventure! It so happens I could squeeze this in for March so I'm gonna go for it....have never sailed in high season like that before, so we shall see. Have already met a ton of people online at cruise critic who are on this sailing (multiple pages thread...) so that should be interesting. Lots of families it seems like, but they'll all be at early seating.... :)

The ship stops in usual places, is in San Juan at night until 1:30 am (where I love to party like a crazy person), St. Thomas, and Cataline Island during the day for the beach and Caso de Campo at night in Dom Rep, and I guess Nassau (stay on ship day lol..) It'll work.
