Fourteen people missing out of 20 million cruise passengers. Some are
known suicides, some are accidents and maybe some are murder. It isn't a
stretch of the imagination to believe that out of 20 million passengers,
someone was mad enough to hurl another person overboard in the middle of the
night.

Usually when someone falls off the ship, they are a long way from land....
and from any authorities. It's not like you can pick up the phone and dial
911.

So let's play "what if".

What if you were the Captain of a cruise ship with 2500 passengers. What if
it is 2 AM and you are informed that a male passenger has been reported
missing. The ship is 300 miles from land. You know that the person was
onboard the ship when you left the last port. You do not know if the person
is still onboard the ship or has fallen or been thrown overboard, you only
know that someone has reported him missing.

What do you do? Who do you alert? What authorities do you consult? What
investigation would you make?

Now remember... the readers of r.t.c. are going to hold you "accountable"
for whatever happens. What is your course of action?

What would you do that the cruise lines do not? How would you "get to the
bottom of it"?

This could be fun!
