Re: Our Cruise in Canada / New England

DG,

I appreciate your professionalism and candor, so felt this particular post
was worth the response. By explaining the situation with understanding and
style as you have done, I do want to thank you. While simple and to the
point, I did come away with a much better awareness and understanding of
where I supposedly went wrong in posting to this newsgroup. The rather
colorful language and derogority remarks by a few others, calling me
everything from unprofessional to a liar, actually accomplished very little,
and therefore I feel is not worth any further dialogue in that respect. All
that does is simply add fuel to the fire from those with their own agenda.

However, I feel I do own everyone an apology, even to those who seemingly
have me marked as nothing more than a scam artist. I was not aware that so
many travel agents frequented this newsgroup, or that there were so many
loyal followers. Therefore, I can now certainly understand why some would
feel I am stepping on toes with what may be perceived as advertising.
Furthermore, it is obvious that I also need to be a bit more accurate in my
posts, and/or to make it more clear that some things are actually simply
opinions.

However, in spite of the negative feedback from some, this will not
discourage me from posting, and/or adding comments to an existing post if I
feel appropriate now and then. Likewise, it has been noted that I do have a
tendency come and go within this newsgroup, as if that's a bad thing. While
it certainly does not lend to any loyal followers on my part, that was never
my intention.

As to building my creditability, that's not going to be done through a post,
nor hopefully can it be torn down through those who simply want to believe
what they will. Time and being more accuracy may indeed help, or it may
never happen at all from reading some of the responses to me and a few
other, from some who apparently post regularly.

Yet, my objective is not to please everyone, but to simply add where I can.
Again, I still feel I own most everyone an apology, and for your personal
input, you certainly set the record straight for me. And, thanks for
allowing me to continue with this post, at least for the moment. Maybe you
were right, I was simply trying too hard.

Thanks,
John Sisker
