Re: cruiseshopping web site

Mike,

Some of your comments about my Website do have merit. Admittedly, I do need
to do some upgrading, especially in reference to the "Pick a Cruise" link,
which I was not ware was not operational for some reason. Currently, my time
has been devoted to upgrading some of my other Websites. However, the
left-handed complements and down-right insults prove nothing more than
you're totally missing the point of what this Website is suppose to be
about.

If all you want to do is compare quickly, from one site to another, from one
agency to another, obviously shopping from one price to another, then indeed
do your so-called shopping elsewhere. It's obvious you did not even bother
to read any of the material within our Website, for if you had, you would
have easily understood our premise. We're not an on-line booking agency by
design, as you apparently want for that quick reference and answer. All that
does is simply promote the comparison of apples to oranges, while those just
shopping think they are actually comparing apples to apples.

Our Website if for reference purposes only, for when we book a cruise for
our clients, it is actually done through our affiliate, in order to get the
best competitive prices. At our level, Ship-To-Shore Cruise Agency® is that
"Mom & Pop" structure seemingly fading in their fast-paced world of only
wanting quick answers and right now. Actually, that is not the clientele we
seek; for we can either research and recommend for prospective clients, or
offer our competitive price if they have already found what they think is
the best price elsewhere. We only deal with prospective clients on a
one-on-one and personal basis, purposely not seeking just sales volume, but
loyal customers and thus repeat business.

For those just looking for quick and fast numbers, thinking they know how to
compare, usually end up shopping based only on their limited awareness of
this industry. Likewise, quick answers simply means prospective shoppers are
just than, not serious or savvy buyers, and will drop one agency over
another if they find what they think is $5 cheaper elsewhere. That is not
the clientele we seek, for even if a cheaper price is found somewhere else
later, we will match it. In order for us to attract the more serious
vacationers who want and will honor our help and assistance, and not just
those looking for quick answers based only on their limitations, we also
charge a $25 per cabin cancellation fee. This keeps those that are not
serious buyers, and those who think insults via newsgroups is somehow
professional and the way to do business.
