Would you rather be slaving for the Germans and speaking German or Japanese
instead? If they had the technology back then, it would be the same. There
are two sides to freedom today. One side is for our own protection and the
other is whatever you make of it. I'm no fan of the Patriot Act myself.
However, if you visit as many countries as I have, you would be damn happy
to have all of that technology watching you vs the way justice is carried
out in most other countries. YES, we are free. Now what part of freedom
don't you understand? What freedom has been denied you or taken away from
you that's protected by our Constitution?? We have lost nothing. Unless of
course you are a convicted felon, in which case you have no freedom at all.
