It looks like this move will be permanent. From what I have been told,
Carnival has had greater success with their cruises from Galveston and feels
that market can better support a large ship like the Conquest.
Eventually, Carnival figures to add another ship doing 7 day itineraries
back in New Orleans.
I think this stinks. Putting the Elation back in Miami just adds to the
glut of ships doing Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries from Florida.
On the good side, look for fares on this ship to be lower than the other,
newer Carnival ships.
Sleazy 4..... Well, it is obvious it won't be "Sleazy in the BIG EASY".
Maybe we can call it something else like "Sleazy 4... Trouble in Texas". I
am open to suggestions. <vbg>
