In addition to a hospital ship, I have heard that there is a chance
some cruise ships may also be pressed into service to help in the
relief efforts for the victims of Katrina. The Boston Duck Boats would
also be of good use along with the various small craft now being used
(airboats, jon boats, center consoles, etc.) It will be interesting to
see if 'nawlins gets evacuated in the next 48 hours. What are they
doing with human waste inside the dome? Also, I wonder how many of the
cars and trucks under water will get some form of rehab and be offered
for sale (carfax?). I know that alot of boats get damaged in 'canes all
the time and get sold without the new owners knowing the full history
of the vessel. And while I am at it, since I know so many read usenet
and only a small portion author postings, maybe someone can answer why
since we took over Iraq along time ago, why does the price of oil still
keep going up (and I am not talking about post storm impacts)? Do you
know how much jetfuel has gone up...not to mention prices at fuel docks?
