Carnival? Actually Carnival doesn't have any "innovations" unless you
consider being the largest cruise line an innovation. They do have those
water slides and one of their ships has a giant video screen (copied from
Princess) ... so I guess that counts for something?
Royal Caribbean already has rock climbing walls, ice skating rinks, in-line
roller skating tracks, miniature golf courses, bungee trampolines, and full
size sports court. If ANY cruise line fits the bill for a surf pool, it's
Royal Caribbean. They want to be known as an "active" cruise line, and they
are earning that reputation one innovation at a time.
Personally, the surf pool does little for me, but it's very appropriate
considering the other features found on RCI ships.
