Karen, here's another example. About 11 years ago, the news media
went crazy about so called "cop killer" bullets that supposedly could
penetrate body armor. Except that few folks at the time knew that
cops wore body armor. Shortly after that, there were a number of
instances in which police officers were killed when the criminal took
a head shot.
BTW and OT, I own a box of those so called "cop killers". A box of
Black Talons in .40 S&W. Turns out they weren't even that good a
round. They are now sold, without the ugly black finish, as ShurStop.

Sure, although they also need to worry about the fact that there are
spies in their midst.

Be careful with confusing perception with fact. The perception is
that their security has somehow been comprimised. The fact is that
they are just as secure/insecure today as they were a year ago.
