The overbooking thing is something I am amazed by when flying domestically
in the US. I don't see it on Qantas international, and I don't see it on the
aussie domestics either. It's like a ritual at delta and united, people
lining up anxiuosly, the announcements, the requests for volunteers to give
up their seats....
I've only seen it in the US.
And yet your airfares don't seem particularly cheap.
