Say you are John Lehy , sales chief for Airbus and you are travelling to
make a pitch to British Airways' CEO. Your laptop contains not only neat
power point presentations, but also sample contracts with BA specific
pricing, and you need this becayuse you are likely to be modifying the
contract while you negotiate with BA's CEO and then want to print a copy
to give him and bring your laptop with the finalised contract text back
with you.

If you use your laptop only to get/send emails, it may still contain
lots of sensitive emails that shouldn't become public. Consider a GM
employee who gets an email directling staff to "know nothing" about the
exploding Pintos when talking to non GM employees. If that email
becomes public, it is to be used in court as proof that GM was fully
aware that its cars had high risk of exploding and yet didn't do any recall.

There is a not of apparently innocusou data on a corporate laptop which
could end up hurting the company a LOT if it were to fall into the wrong hands.
