Violating BrickLink's Free Speech

People don't seem to comprehend how freedom of speech works. For one,
it largely deals with PUBLIC or GOVERNMENT FUNDED entities (BrickLink
is neither), it does *NOT* deal with PRIVATE groups and
companies...why? Because those PRIVATE groups, companies,
individuals, etc are all entitled, just liak you are, to THEIR freedom
of speech.

If *YOU* own a billboard for example *YOU* can choose *WHO* you lease
it to, either for money or for charity. That billboard represents
*YOUR* freedom of speech, not the person whose leasing it (as per
whatever contract was agreed upon). You can choose to give that
person the boot and say, "Hey, I don't liak yer ad on my billboard,
either change it, or take it down."

Now, if there's a contract involved, the equivalent of a ToS, then the
ad owner may be entitled to some kind of compensation if they paid for
the space, however with BrickLink the ToS clearly says that you are a
GUEST, there is NO exchange of money for forum service and that you
have no say and you get no say...again, that's the rules for
essentially leasing out THEIR freedom of speech to you.

It's not *YOUR* freedom of speech, it's THEIRS, they're just letting
you use it as *THEY* see fit. To demand anything of them would be to
infringe upon THEIR freedom of speech, basically saying that no one
has the right to free speech except for you and that your freedom of
speech is the only one that counts...a very selfish line of thought
indeed.

If you don't liak it, there is NOTHING stopping you from going and
setting up YOUR OWN server where YOU can have all the free speech you
liak and more. Or better yet, come on down here to Usenet where there
are no rules, no ban happy mods, no censoring of any sort and all the
freedom of speech you liak...it comes at a price though...one that
most of you doorknobs I don't think grasp very well.

See the thing of it is, if BrickLink were to truly not censor anything
and allow any topic, such as the one involving politics...well guess
what kids, that'd mean they'd have to unban *ME* as well! Yup, that's
right, yer "freedom of speech", liak you have here on Usenet comes at
a price in that YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS IT!

Hypocrites...most of you. You think you should be able to say
whatever you want anywhere you want, but then when it comes to someone
who says things that make you all *** hurt and snitting liak an angry
toddler in a therapy session...suddenly you think "freedom of speech"
should be limited to just certain people and groups...amazing how your
NONpinions revolve around your personal psychological wants and NEEDS
so easily. I guess it's not really that so many of you are hypocrites
so much as you're just ignorant to the reality you participate in.
