A few days before the 117th IOC Session held in Singapore and during which the
IOC Olympic Program Report was discussed, the FIVB proudly received the
confirmation in the IOC Global Sport Report that the most popular sport in terms
of TV viewer hours is Volleyball (Volleyball and Beach Volleyball).
The statistics concern television coverage during the Athens 2004 Olympic Games.
