in moderation, a much longer life!

wine is GOOD for you!:D

hmm....you call yourself a geezer.......one guy is nearing 3 times your
age....

I've heard that drinking maybe one glass of wide every night can have
some beneficial effects, but a *much* longer life? I doubt that. There
are so many factors that play into, and determine how long a person
will live, and the quality of life for that individual is dependant on
good genetics, proper diet, staying away from drugs, alcohol and
tobacco, etc. So a person in this category will generally live a
longer, healthier life, vs a non-fit person who smokes, is overweight,
non-active, etc., but "drinks in moderation".

I live a very healthy lifestyle now, but by not drinking *any* alcohol,
I don't feel that's going to shorten or reduce the quality of my life
at all. I do know that the French people tend to eat a diet that can be
very rich in fats and so by drinking wine, that helps to keep the
arteries from clogging up. Simply following a _healthy_, balanced diet
and getting regular vigorous excerise will do the same thing, without
alcohol.:)
