Well said, Bob.

And I agree with Courty that marrying young is a recipe for disaster.
Though I was with the same man since the age of 16, we did not marry
till the age of 29, which is still young. I tell my students not to
marry till 30 or above.

And in any case, Berdych is a world-class athlete, rich and quasi-
famous, so it's usually (though not always), suicide for someone in
that position to marry young. Roger married young, but it seems
evident his marriage to Mirka is healthy and happy.

Thanks Uly. I knew you would see that I was generalizing based on
stats. My best friend has been with her husband since she was 18 or 19
years old. They are married now with two kids. They both have careers
and they both "seem" to be happy but they have their issues like
everybody else.

yes, so it's bullshit to say people shouldn't marry young, I can site
my sister and know countless other couples that show it does work.
Most people who say people should wait haven't choose crap
relationships or were too scared to get married young themselves.- Hide quoted text -

I did not say ALL people should not marry young for the 900th time! I
said age is a predictor in divorce. Only ONE predictor but a
predictor. What is it people don't understand about this very general
statement? It is not hard to grasp.

because it's not true, it's bollocks. marrying young ISN'T a predictor
for divorce and you'd have to be a total idiot with no common sense,
social sense or life experience if you have the idea that it is.
sorry, but sometimes you have to use harsh language to teach a lesson
and I implore you not to live with such stupid self-depreciating ideas.- Hide quoted text -

I have worked in family law and marrying at a very young age is a
predictor of divorce. You can sit in whatever world you live in and
say otherwise all day long, but it won't change the stats and the
reality. Yes there are many many people who marry young and stay happy
but as I have stated many times as a general rule marrying very young
often tends to not work out.

I am not going to argue with you or any other "men?" on this board who
have a problem with strong women due to their own insecurities. I
don't have the time or patience to argue with such people and their
attitudes are far from my problem thankfully.
