will. huge difference.

You are nothing short of a big idiot, bob. Mononucleosis causes an

enlarged spleen, and it is VERY dangerous to exert oneself while
having mono.

i am no expert on mono except i never heard it lasting that long.
tendinitis

Then maybe in the future you should restrict yourself from commenting
on things about which you know little. Granted, this would likely cut
your posting volume considerably, but we must all make sacrifices,
must we not? Exerting yourself with mono can have far more severe
consequences than exerting yourself with tendinitis.

exerting yourself with tendinitis will guarantee it will get worse.
exerting youself with mono can have very serious consequences in 5% of the
cases (no further consequences in 95% of the cases).

This is a statistics you pulled out of your ass, or what?

he doesn't want to risk longlasting injury - not a match loss. if doc said,
play thru the pain, nothing further will happen except maybe you lose, he'd
play. but that's not the case...

Exactly the point. If he didn't want to risk longlasting injury, why
play the FO? Why play Madrid? Why play all those other tournaments he
played instead of resting? This is why there is a basis to believe
that the injury isn't the only thing holding him back from playing
Wimby.

and fyi, i don't believe fed even knew he had mono until it was nearly gone.
i believe he played a month or two with it in the spring w/out knowing.

So he announced that he had mono in the Winter, and then played with
it in the Spring without knowing he had it? Clever, that Federer. ;-)
