Duh. They'd be suicidal to host Nadal on clay. I think the only nation
that has hosted Spain on clay in the past few years is Italy, because
the advantage they gained by putting the spaniards outside clay is
nullified by how completely hopeless their own players where. If you
have competent HC players, why would you want to put Spain on clay?

This is the same reason Spain didn't pick indoor HC for the DC SF, I suppose. They were afraid of Rod*** and probably Querrey too. When was the last time Spain picked non-clay at home (and thus showed they weren't afraid of their opponents), I wonder?


It's exactly opposite, you troll.

Spain never played home match away from clay because they fear no one.
Argentina chooses for the first time in their Davis Cup history to play other than clay, because of fear.
