Seems a tough hurdle to overcome since even a single 2 slam years is
rare indeed. A minimum of a 3 year stretch is needed to qualify for this
version of tennis royalty.

Martina Navratilova
7 year stretch from 1981 to 1987 when 27 slams were held
15 W + 7 F + 2 SF + 2 QF + 1 4R
Steffi Graf
6 year stretch from 1991 to 1996 when she played 21 of 24 slams held
12 W + 3 F + 3 SF + 2 QF + 1 1R
Adding 1980 adds only 1 more slam. If you relax the continuous stretch
requirement, Graf rules the tennis universe with 21 slam wins over 10
years. Remarkable in any case.
Monica Seles - 4 year stretch with 8 slams that interrupted Graf's
dominance until ...
Chris Evert - 3 year stretch with 6 slams

Roger Federer
6 year stretch from 2003 to 2008 that is still current. One slam in 2009
gets him to a 7 year stretch. Amazing!
