It's not clear that rest would cure what ails 'im, though. In the
past, he's always played his way back to form, and I think he's trying
to stick to what worked when the things that worked were working. If
you see what I mean.
We are talking about different things. He looks sick and without fire..
Circles under his eyes and he seem to have lost some weight.
Losing Wimbledon to rafa had to have been beyond heartbreaking, and
humiliating. �I think Fed may have taken the game he gravitated to
several years ago as far as he could, and now it looks like it will be
difficult to get back on top with it or some more aggressive varient
of it. �I think he is fortunate to have 12 and not 10, but the extra 2
might have made him a bit more complacent in terms of what really
needed to be done to ensure his stay at the top of the game.
Always (willfully) assuming what we're seeing is anything close to
Federer's best.
It isn't.
