I know it is middle-of-tournament rankings, but it looks strange. Does
anyone remember a time when it was not #1 Federer, #2 Nadal?

I was young, and didn't know my letters all that well, but I can dimly
recall such a time, yes. Isn't there a bit in the Kalevala about it?
One of the Karelian chunks. Joukahainen passed Nadal for a spell, I
think, right after the Pohjola Open...
