I would tell Roger not to pee on my leg and try to tell me that it is
raining.
He wants the French Open more than anything else does. He has a
handful of Wimbledon and one more or less would make no difference but
French would set him up as the greatest tennis player of all times.
Realistically, what else could he say? He would be crazy to say that
winning at French is more important than Wimbledon, knowing that he
has little chance at the French.
and every chance of winning 7 W's in a row.
It would be something! Agassi was a two time French Open finalist
before winning the French and Roger has made it to the finals two
times also. He has a chance and may be worth trying. Hard to tell. It
was a lot easier decision for Sampras to "sour grapes" the French
because he had absolutely no chance of winning the French. He
concentrated on HC & GC slams. It worked out for him.
