Why not? I think tennis is a perfect sport for the Olympics. The
problem to date has been getting the players interested.
Besides Sampras, can you name a few prominent ATP or WTA players who
have expressed lack of interest in the Olympics? IMHO the problem with
the Olympic tournament is that the draw looks a lot weaker than usual
tournaments of the same side because countries like the USA, Spain, and
France are restricted to 3 player instead of their usual 15+, and the
spots are taken by third-tier (or worse) players from all over the world.
