FWIW, I think Nadal is right when he says he relies almost as much on
technique as physical ability. He does have an obvious speed
advantage when getting to the ball, and his muscles do help him
generate enormous spin, but his technique is what makes hitting those
impossible shots truly possible.
His impossible flat backhand passes with just a little bunt are an
excellent example of superb timing.
We have a rafa-fan in making! :)
I am neither a Federer fan nor a Rafa fan -- I am a fan of attractive
tennis. And, till now, Federer has delivered more in that department
than any other player that I have seen.
I doubt Nadal will ever reach Federer's ease of play - yet, some of
his points are indeed quite well constructed, (mostly with him
finishing the point at net with a backhand stop volley).
And, I absolutely love watching Nadal on clay, it seems he is so
natural on the surface that there isn't anything that anyone can do to
stop him. His point construction on clay, especially this year, has
been immaculate.
point construction ahahahahahhahhahahahahahahahahahahahah nadal hit
the ball, the ball goes 20 feet in the air and it over, what fucking
point construction are you talking about, the only thing nadal
construct on a consistence basis is ass picking.
