None informed people can like Sarkozy.Changing the tax laws
Do you like liar?
I voted for Bayrou, heard of him?
Most of what american citizens are saying about Bush, (the worst, at least) can be said about Sarkozy.
I'd like someone to explain me for what positive reason(s) he/she likes Sarkozy.
Not the usual "anti" crap; I want positive toughts.
I prefer people who define themself by saying what they want, rather than understating what they don't want.
That's that simple
Changing the 35-hour working week
Cleaning up the banlieue and getting rid of the racaille
More openness to US policy
Increased French role in helping to alleviate the problems in Africa
For starters.
Changing tax laws? are you talking about that ridiculous "fiscal shield"? Must be joking, didn't heard about VAT, so far.
He has promised to make significant tax cuts.
What? Give exemple, if you can find a single one in his program.
You make me laugh: you can only repeat what you read... And I feel you don't quite get the picture of what you are reading.
"he has promised to make significant tax cuts", what a joke!
Chirac promised too, five years ago, did you saw anything?
When he is going to do so? On what basis? Don't be fooled by such easy tricks.
Sarkozy was for a time his "ministre du budget", and he was absolutly unable to do so.
What "significant tax cut"? Name it/them, if you want to go a little deeper in that conversation.
I have listen to him for ages, I figure out the man, hidden behind the coward he also is: there's no need to repeat what he said, I know it allready.
Plus: he said way too contradictory stuffs to be any longer reliable.
Changing the 24hour working week? he said he *won't* on tv debate, 02 may 07... do you think he told some lies then?
"So Mr Sarkozy has promised to make the 35-hour working week a minimum
rather than a maximum, calling it one of France's most poisonous
legacies"
Doesn't sound like not reforming the working week.
That's exaclty the *actual* situation!
Anyone can work as much as he wants to, it's only because extra-cash is considered unworthy that few are working more than 35h.
Pay the right money for one job, and you'll find plenty of candidates for that job, full dot.
Plus: 35h week does *not* apply for all entreprises, didn't you know?
Are you stupid, or do you have troubles with french society?
Cleaning up the balieue? you should not put all your confidence on CNN, Foxnews & so on, there's no need to "clean" the banlieue, the banlieue first needs jobs.
Do you live in the banlieue? My knowledge of France and the banlieue
comes not from watching CNN, but from living in France, reading French
newspapers and being a fluent French speaker. I wouldn't deny that it
needs employment growth, but there are a lot of undesirable elements
that need to be weeded out.
Where do you used to live, then?
I live in Beauvais.
I know lot of places around France, for I moved quite a lot (Rouen, Nantes, Toulouse, Orleans, Paris, Lille, La Rochelle & so on...)
"undesirable elements that need to be weeded out", pure ***: what are you suggesting to do with them?
What are "undesirable elements"?
According to what kind of law do you want to "weed out" people, what are their faults?
In republic you deal with citizens & strangers (regular or not).
In republic you punish those who do not respect laws (since laws are *not* tweaked to "weed out undesirable people"); what do you want?
Usual crap from hypnotyzed brains.
More openness to US policy? it's new for US to care about anyone's else opinion, what do you think would have changed, let's say in Irak (since we, french, went in Afghanistan) with french troups ?
I'm not saying that it would have changed anything at all, but Chirac
has not been what we could call a "staunch" ally of the US. He's
always been more interested in a Franco-German axis, and I just don't
think that's the way to go in this day and age.
You lack a lot of political culture, sorry to say so.
Didn't you know that Sarkozy's very first official trip is to visit Angela Merkel?
Every french president has the franco-german axis priority since 1970s.
I fell you are confused by a mix between your hopes & "objective datas"
Increased French role in helping to alleviate the problems in Africa? what are you talking about? Free medics against AIDS, nothing such in his program.
I didn't mention 'free against AIDS', whatever they are. You've just
made that up now.
If you look at his victory speech, he clearly makes reference to
alleviating problems in Africa:
http://www.rfi.fr/actufr/articles/089/article_51603.asp
I know, I was trying to help you giving exemples. Yet you are completely unable to do so.
Are you sure you are that fluent in french?
"Je veux lancer un appel à tous les Africains ; un appel fraternel, pour dire à l’Afrique que nous voulons l’aider : aider l’Afrique à vaincre la maladie, à vaincre la famine, à vivre en paix. Je veux leur dire que nous allons décider ensemble d’une politique d’immigration maîtrisée et d’une politique de développement ambitieuse."
That's only cheap promises. Not a single word on anything concrete, about the money needed, for ex.
"Cure the disease"? How, since medics are too expensive?
That very common ground speach, nothing new, nothing precise.
Your starters are way easily rolled out.
Better think twice next time.
No need to think twice - you were unable to successfully repudiate
anything I said.

I hardly saw anyone that dumb & pretentious.
You are still unable to give simple exemples, arguments. You stay very "hazy", very "repeat mode"
Do you think saying twice a thing is the same as explaining inner logical mechanisms of what you are saying?
In french that's only "totologie", and it's very poor.
