None informed people can like Sarkozy.
Do you like liar?
I voted for Bayrou, heard of him?
Most of what american citizens are saying about Bush, (the
worst, at least) can be said about Sarkozy.
I'd like someone to explain me for what positive reason(s)
he/she likes Sarkozy.
Not the usual "anti" crap; I want positive toughts.
I prefer people who define themself by saying what they
want, rather than understating what they don't want.
That's that simple
Changing the tax laws
Changing the 35-hour working week
Cleaning up the banlieue and getting rid of the racaille
More openness to US policy
Increased French role in helping to alleviate the problems in Africa
For starters.
Changing tax laws? are you talking about that ridiculous
"fiscal shield"? Must be joking, didn't heard about VAT, so far.
He has promised to make significant tax cuts.
Changing the 24hour working week? he said he *won't* on tv
debate, 02 may 07... do you think he told some lies then?
"So Mr Sarkozy has promised to make the 35-hour working week a minimum
rather than a maximum, calling it one of France's most poisonous
legacies"
Doesn't sound like not reforming the working week.
Cleaning up the balieue? you should not put all your
confidence on CNN, Foxnews & so on, there's no need to
"clean" the banlieue, the banlieue first needs jobs.
Do you live in the banlieue? My knowledge of France and the banlieue
comes not from watching CNN, but from living in France, reading French
newspapers and being a fluent French speaker. I wouldn't deny that it
needs employment growth, but there are a lot of undesirable elements
that need to be weeded out.
More openness to US policy? it's new for US to care about
anyone's else opinion, what do you think would have changed,
let's say in Irak (since we, french, went in Afghanistan)
with french troups ?
I'm not saying that it would have changed anything at all, but Chirac
has not been what we could call a "staunch" ally of the US. He's
always been more interested in a Franco-German axis, and I just don't
think that's the way to go in this day and age.
Increased French role in helping to alleviate the problems
in Africa? what are you talking about? Free medics against
AIDS, nothing such in his program.
I didn't mention 'free against AIDS', whatever they are. You've just
made that up now.
If you look at his victory speech, he clearly makes reference to
alleviating problems in Africa:

Your starters are way easily rolled out.
Better think twice next time.
No need to think twice - you were unable to successfully repudiate
anything I said.
