Dave, you really need to get informed, not just read 1 sided propaganda that
appears to have been written by 5 yr olds who's research comes from spam
email!
Those articles contain so many factual errors all you can do is laugh! Even
the tribune article featuring "Hitler's angel" was raked over the coals as
it was common knowledge that Hitler and Thyssen were mortal enemies by that
point since he had fled Germany and publicly opposed the war! That entire
bizarre paragraph from INDYMEDIA about Thyssen being interrogated and
imprisoned by the US near the end of his life is news to me and appears to
be made up. The guy was imprisoned in germany!
"In September 1939 World War II broke out. Thyssen sent Hermann Göring a
telegram saying he was opposed to the war, shortly before leaving for
Switzerland with his family. He was expelled from the Nazi Party and the
Reichstag, and his company was briefly nationalised but was later returned
to other members of the Thyssen family. In 1940 Thyssen moved to France,
intending to emigrate to Argentina, but was caught by the German occupation
of France. He was arrested and taken back to Germany, where he was confined,
first in a sanatorium near Berlin, then from 1943 in Sachsenhausen
concentration camp. In February 1945 he was sent to Dachau concentration
camp. He was comparatively well-treated, however, and survived to be
liberated by Allied forces in 1945.While Thyssen was imprisoned in Germany,
an "autobiography" was published in the United States in 1941 under the
title I Paid Hitler. The book was in fact written by a journalist called
Emery Reves, based partly on memoirs dictated by Thyssen, but containing
much material invented or exaggerated by Reves. This book is the source of
views about Thyssen, including the view that the German industrialists as a
class supported and funded Hitler and put him into power. After the war
Thyssen disputed the authenticity of this book, and this was upheld by the
postwar denazification tribunal.
Thyssen was nevertheless tried for being a supporter of the Nazi Party. He
did not deny that he had been a Nazi supporter until 1938, and he accepted
responsibility for his companies' mistreatment of Jewish employees in the
1930s, although he denied involvement in the employment of slave labour
during the war. Thyssen agreed to pay 500,000 Deutschmarks as compensation
to those who suffered as a result of his actions, and was acquitted of other
charges. In January 1950 he and his wife emigrated to Argentina, where he
died the following year."
Further, unlike what your articles insinuate, the reason Bush wasn't
prosecuted was because he didn't DO ANYTHING ILLEGAL! I certainly wouldn't
be proud of those activities, but they were legal and nothing that many
other businessmen weren't doing. Of course your statement that the Bush
family FINANCED WW2 is just silly.
Nothing to do with legality. I never said it did. BUT he put $$$$
above patriotism.
Go back to the original post. Calamari called me a Nazi.
Well I am no more a Nazi than Bushes ancestors and have reason to be
more proud as well because my motive is not $$$ but innocent human
lives and the TRUTH something which Bush finds hard to utter.
NOW we have a CONVICTED FELON ! from the White House !!!
What does Bush say ????
Bush says he feels sorry for him !!!
What the *** ???????
He tortures the innocent and feels sorry for the guilty ?
Blows my fucking mind.
