Re: "I Feel Pretty" sick of that obnoxious commercial!

So far no one has talked about the implicit homophobia of the
commercial. The original lyric goes "pretty, witty and gay" (rhyming
with the word "day" later on in the verse, but Nike has changed it to
"pretty, witty and bright" with a rhyme on the word tonight. People
have been saying that they changed the lyric to rhyme with
tonight...except the whole ad takes place in the daylight? Obviously
Nike couldn't stomach using the word "gay" in any context.

I'm still trying - having seen it over the stream - to figure out what on
earth its message is supposed to be.

The message is even though (Nike's) world thinks you are pretty, you
like to win your matches using obnoxious shrieking and are not afraid
to show your real ugly personality to the world. You don't "change a
thing" even though most people don't like it.

And yes, the post script: You are not afraid to show people that you
are a horrible actor. (the horrible horrible stare at the end of the
commercial, they should have used some real footage, that is more
"naturally" ugly.)
