Nadal should win his fair share of Slams in the future. He's young &
has achieved so much. His biggest advantage is being a left-hander.
The rest of the year will tell us a lot. Nadal is riding a well-deserved high after WImbledon. If he can back that up with a solid performance going into the AO in 2007, it could be a great battle for the top rank in 2007.
Much will depend on whether they can consistently make the finals the rest of the year. Nadal in 4 HC tournaments has W at Dubai, SF at Marseille, SF at IW and 2R at Miami. Federer has played 5 HC tournaments and won 4 (AO+IW+Miami+Doha) and lost 1 final (Dubai).
But let's also look at similar cases, like Courier (tho he was older).
He was one match away from going for CYGS. His Wim Final could have
gone 5 sets vs. Sampras, too. At the time, many people were probably
saying similar things about him (few will likely admit this).
