I have an average of 1.17 posts a day this year, Dumbo.
My posting isn't important enough to start a long thread. But I'm not a man to talk nonsense. My provider doesn't enable me to go back more than a few days. But on Thursday there were 17 Cali postings, on Wednesday 12. And yet I'm not going to call you a liar. Maybe your figure is right, but only due to the fact that you had stopped posting for quite a while. What's your average since you started posting again? Decide for yourself whether this kind of tricky 'truthfulness' is really honest. I hope it's not typical of you. (Seriously, I had never thought of you as a liar)

Obviously you didn't quite stomach that you embarrassed yourself by being to stupid to understand a) the Monty Hall problem and its solution and b) the similarity between that problem and Graf's and Seles's chances of winning FO/USO 93 without The Stabbing.
Most people here will not know what you're talking about. But I knew you would write that. That's the way your brain works. I can only advise you to ask some other mathematicians. Or even better, just people with the ability of thinking clearly. I did both in the meantime. Not that it mattered, but I was interested to know whether my brain had started rotting. And everybody confirmed that you explained the MHP quite well (the deck of cards), but that your analogy is nonsense. Which I said right from the start. (It's like one of the counting tricks for children - on a higher level, of course - where you know the result is absurd, but you can't see where the mistake is at first glance; 3 x 6 = 19, that sort of thing) They even told me that my arguments against your parallel hold water.
But that's neither here nor there. I've learnt it's pointless to go on arguing with you.
And for anybody else reading this: I think that Steffi Graf was a great tennis player, maybe even the greatest (Navratilova?). I like Monica Seles, but I'm not a Selesian. Some of them can only be considered insane. I think it's disgusting what some people here say about Steffi because of that insane Parche. She can't be blamed for anything in this case. I also think the sneering note that Max sometimes uses when talking about Monica is hard to bear. But above all I think it were about time to stop repeating the things that have been repeated again and again and much too often.
j.w.
Martina Navratilova is the greatest female tennis in history. No amount of propaganda in cyberspace from her Graf's looney fans can ever changed that.
As to the Seles-Graf issue...
Due to the stabbing being such a unique, one off tragedy that skewed the course of tennis history, Graf fans cant simply say 'Steffi won 22 slams and all 4 slams at least 4 times' without the stabbing coming into the discussion.
Because the simple fact, for any reasonable, NON Graf fan, is that Graf benefitted immensely of Seles forced abscence.
Thats the effect the stabbing will always have on Graf's career. Its not Steffi's fault, but she has to live with that just like Monica has to live with the years at her peak that were stolen from her.
Graf won a calendar slam before any of this, something beyond all the other modern gals....
